Miami Books Trading Policy

You Must Come In At Least 15 Minutes Before Closing For Any New Trading

- No more than 50 books per week can be brought in for trading consideration.
- We reserve the right to refuse any books due to excess inventory, poor condition & or subject matter.
- All books accepted for trade are separated into 2 categories:

Special Credit: Books published in the prior 4 months, Science Fiction / Fantasy & Orange Tagged
Items Purchased from Miami Books
General Credit: All other book categories.

- Credit given can only be applied for used books only & are separated into their categories at time of trade.
Books purchased from Miami Books – 50% of purchase price (yellow & orange tags)
Example – Book purchased from Miami Books $ 4.80 = $ 2.40 Credit Given
All other books accepted - 25% of retail price.
Example – Retail Price $ 7.99 = $ 1.99 Credit Given

- Using Your Trade Credit:
Special Credit: Can be used on ANY yellow tagged item in the store including Books Published in the prior 4 months & or all Science Fiction/ Fantasy
General Credit: All other categories those categories include Mystery, Fiction, Westerns, Horror, Children’s, Suspense, Historical Romance, Non Fiction & Series Romance.
Orange Tagged Items Are NO TRADE Books: This means you cannot use trade credit of any kind to purchase these books. Those categories include Classics, Plays, Poetry, & Special Authors in Series Romance that are out of Print.

As you use credit given there is a 20% Trade Credit Surcharge Fee to be paid in Cash, Credit Card or Check Card. There is a $ 5.00 Minimum on any credit card purchases.

Used Books Price	$ 4.80 (40% Off )	Retail Price $ 7.99
Credit Given	- $ 1.99	Sales Tax $ 0.55
Trade Credit Fee	+ .40	Total $ 8.54
Sales Tax	+ .22
	$ 3.43	$ 8.54 - $ 3.43 = $ 5.11 TOTAL SAVINGS

If you have sufficient Trade Credit to cover the full amount of all general or special credit books, then you only pay the Trade Credit fee of 20%. Example $ 4.80 = trade fee of 96c + 7c tax you pay $1.02 $ 8.54 – $ 1.02 = $ 7.52 TOTAL SAVINGS SALES TAX MUST BE PAID ON ALL DUE AMOUNTS

You will be given a credit slip for all credit not used. This slip does NOT expire, however, Miami Books keeps no other record of this credit and is not responsible for any lost credit slip.
Trade Credit slips are NOT transferable to any other person except immediate family members.

Pricing Policy Is as follows:

- All Used books are priced at 40% off the current retail price with minimum prices in some sections.
- All New paperback books are 30% off the retail price. New trade paperbacks are 20% off retail price.
-All New Classics Retail Price No Discount

-Some orange tagged items have been priced using the collectors guide to Romance Novels. Please feel free to ask to use it while at the store.

Return Policy: NO CASH REFUNDS NO EXCEPTIONS

New Books purchased at Miami Books must be returned within 24 hours for exchange or store credit only.
Used books can only be returned for regular Miami Books Credit (50% of purchase price).
